A-Ma Temple in Macau, China.
About my journey
I count myself blessed to be able to travel to Macau, China. I was truly captivated by the sounds, the movement and the smells of life here. Hoping not to intruded, I captured these moments. Please enjoy this story of my journey to the A-Ma Temple in Macau, China.
Below I have included the equipment information and approach I used to put this movie together. This is for all you interested in making movies and posting them on the web. Everyone has a story to tell. The equipment may change but, the source is the same. It comes from with in.
About the video
This video was shot with the Playtouch 5mp. pocket video camera. Because of limited storage space, the video resolution was set to 720p @30fps. I decided to download the Imovie app from Itunes and edit it entirely on my ipad2.
My learning curve
Because of my own personal goals, there was a slight learning curve to overcome. So, I took advantage of the many Imovie tutorials on Youtube for guidance. Completed editing the movie and uploaded it to youtube.
My digital pocket tip
- The learning curve. Many types of editing software tend to work the same. With the creation of touch screen devices like the Ipad, it was cool to see it in action. There are many folks out there sharing their experiences on Youtube. Take advantage of the resources available to you.
- The upload process. It took forever to upload to Youtube. Tried the medium upload setting as well. At the moment it is quicker to connect your ipad to your computer and upload from there.
- When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Who wrote that? This post was updated after talks of Kodak going bankrupt. I've decided my main would be focus on the creative process and support for others in the community rather then the latest brand of gadgets.
